Swap Meet

By Miriam Watson · August 2026 · Volume MMXXVI, Number 8 · Page 5 · 1 min read

Join us for a community swap meet on Saturday, August 1, from 9 a.m. to noon, in the Loma Prieta Gymnasium at 23800 Summit Road. Bring usable, clean items to share—whether it’s one item, an armload, or a truckload. All items are free to take as long as you bring something to contribute. If you don’t have anything to swap, a $5 donation allows you to take as much as you want.

Drop your items off at 9 a.m. The best selection will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Collection for resale is only permitted from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Only bring items in good, usable condition. No junk, please! If it seems ready for the landfill, don’t bring it.

Unclaimed items must be picked up by noon, with no exceptions. Unfortunately, there will not be a Goodwill truck this time. For more information, email Miriam at ilovethemountains@gmail.com, or Leslie O’Malley at h2ominded@gmail.

com. Mountain Market Marla Ellis Summer is the perfect time to visit the Mountain Market. We’re excited to welcome new vendor Resendiz Fruit Barn, offering a delicious variety of fresh, locally grown, 100-percent pesticide-free fruits, including peaches, nectarines, apricots, pluots, cherries, grapes, watermelons, cantaloupes, honeydew melons, figs, and more.

Make Friday nights at the market your summer tradition. Enjoy authentic Oaxacan tamales, delicious tacos and Mexican favorites from La Cueva Food Truck, classic American fare from Grillman Food Truck, and live music every week while you shop.

Enjoy the best flavors of the season, support local farmers and businesses, and experience everything Mountain Market has to offer. Shop fresh. Support local. We’ll see you there! Promote your local event in the Mountain Network News.
