Family History Group

Your family is a part of America’s 250- year story. What can you discover about your family ancestors? Join us for a free family history group, on the second Tuesday of every month beginning August 11, at 7 p.m. We will meet at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 23185 Summit Road. Bring your laptop and your grandparent’s or great-grandparent’s names, along with any vital information you may have.

Our resident family history consultant, Sue Bryson, will be available to help you get started in this fun and fulfilling activity. Search millions of ancestor profiles, photographs, and historical documents on FamilySearch.org. Build the branches of your own family tree as the automated tree builder guides you along.

As you add information, it will search for ancestor connections. A huge archive of historical documents (immigration and census records, etc.) will be available to search. Records can help tell the story of your family. Access is free. It’s amazing what connections you can discover.

Burrell School Winery August Events Rich Leonetti On Sunday, August 2, we welcome our Sippers Wine Club members for a fun afternoon in the gazebo and rose garden, from 1 to 6 p.m. Members and their guests will taste the new summer-release wines as well as some additional selections available at special club-member prices. Town of Los Gatos Music in the Park The town of Los Gatos offers free public summer concerts every Sunday afternoon through August 23, from 5 to 7 p.m., on the Los Gatos Civic Center Lawn. The lineup includes The BentPeter Band on August 2, Lindsay and the Cheeks on August 9, Miko Marks on August 16, and Harry and the Hitmen on August 23. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy free live music as the summer winds down.

Pizzeria Vittoria August Events Mike Lerman Pizzeria Vittoria in downtown Redwood Estates offers a variety of specials in August. On Friday, August 7, we will celebrate International Beer Day with $25 pitchers and the launch of a new, limited-edition pint glass. On Saturday, August 8, we will offer cat-themed pizza specials in honor of International Cat Day.

Bring your “middle” children on Wednesday, August 12 for a free cupcake on Middle Child Day. Whether you’re left- handed or not, join us on Thursday, August 13 for left-handed hot dog specials.
