Lakeside School News

Thanks to the generous support of the Lakeside School Community Foundation, our students enjoy enrichment classes in art, science, music, and physical education. In science, our fourth- and fifth-grade class collaborated to separate and identify the components of a mystery mixture during a chemistry lab class. They used a variety of scientific methods and tools. (Spoiler: the mixture contained ground coffee, iron filings, and salt).

Our TK/kindergarten students played a science sorting game comparing what humans truly need versus what they want. Lakeside recently repaired its ceramic kiln. In art, our first-and second-graders made ceramic pieces and winter window boxes to display their works of art. They took them home as holiday gifts for their parents.
