Loma Prieta School District

Loma Prieta Elementary School is now enrolling incoming kindergarten students for the 2026-27 school year. Children who turn five years old on or before September 1, 2026, are eligible to register. Families in the Loma Prieta school district become part of a close-knit, mountain-strong community known for academic excellence and strong family partnerships. Our kindergarten program is centered around the science of reading, with focused instruction in phonics, vocabulary development, and comprehension. Students participate in enrichment classes including physical education, art, and library, that support a well-rounded education. A recently refurbished kindergarten playground, made possible by a bond approved by our generous community, offers a safe and engaging outdoor space for our youngest students.

How to Enroll. Register your incoming kindergarten student at www.loma.k12.ca.us. Select “New Student Registration,” then “Kindergarten Registration.” The registration page includes a list of required documentation and a link to the online enrollment portal. Use a computer, as the portal is not compatible with mobile devices.

Families who need assistance or accommodations during the registration process can email l.sullivan@lpjusd.us. We will offer a kindergarten campus tour for registered families on Thursday, May 7. You can meet staff, explore the campus, learn about our curriculum, and get information on transportation and after-school care options. We are excited to welcome our newest learners and their families to Loma Prieta Elementary in the fall of 2026.
